Eby-Brown COO Keynote Speaker at Memorial Day Ceremony

ROCKMART, GA – May 28, 2006 – Memorial Day ceremonies were held in honor of fallen heroes on Sunday, May 28th, at Rockmart Memorial Park where the Veterans Memorial and Senior Citizens Building are located.  Brown Wright Legion Post 12, Rockmart, hosted the event and invited Terry Beasley, Chief Operating Officer for Eby-Brown to perform as keynote speaker for the ceremony. 

Eby-Brown has been a supporter of the local American Legion since 1998, when they opened their Rockmart, GA distribution center.

“We have had employees from Rockmart and our surrounding remote locations (out of state), who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines,” Beasley said.  “The post-9/11 period saw several of our folks called back to military service or activated as Reservists, in support of the Iraq conflict.  They have served stateside and in the Middle East.  We are very proud of their contributions, and I am honored to be a part of the ceremony, paying tribute to all American heroes.”
