Eby-Brown VP to Speak at AWMA Expo

NAPERVILLE, IL – December 26, 2006 – Jode Bunce, Executive Vice President, Cigarette Purchasing for Eby-Brown Co., is scheduled to speak at the American Wholesale Marketers Association’s Real Deal Expo, held in Las Vegas, NV, starting on February 21, 2007 and running through the 23rd.

Beginning in January of 2007, Bunce will begin to serve as the Chairman of AWMA.  Bunce will work with the AWMA board and staff to help ensure its continued success, while representing the best interest of the c-store distribution community.

“My mission as chairman,” Bunce says, “is to make AWMA a more exciting and dynamic organization.  We have done a lot of great work in the past with education and business programs; now I’m ready to help take the association to the next level.”

Bunce has served on AWMA’s executive committee for two years and as a director on the board for two years.  He has also chaired the Industry Affairs committee for the association.  Bunce has been elected chairman for the whole of 2007.  At Eby-Brown, he has directed the cigarette category since 1991.

Attendees at the conference can expect Bunce to unveil the association’s new direction and slogan, while addressing how AWMA’s past work is going to carry the association into the future.  Bunce will be speaking on the second day of the expo, February 22nd, at 8am.
